Restaurant Saloniki
About This Spot
Stepping into Restaurant Saloniki, nestled quietly at Am Brunnenplatzl in Bad Griesbach, feels like uncovering a genuine corner of Greece far from the Mediterranean coast. The atmosphere here strikes a harmonious balance—warm and welcoming yet unpretentious, inviting visitors to slow down and savor not just a meal, but an experience rooted in family tradition and comforting flavors.
The pace is relaxed but attentive, with service that feels practiced yet personal, as if you’re sharing a dining table with friends who take pride in their culinary heritage. There’s an easy conviviality in the air, where the clink of glasses and soft conversation blend effortlessly with the subtle aroma of herbs and grilled specialties.
What makes the experience here particularly memorable is the way food and hospitality intertwine. The menu reads like a curated journey through Greek classics—tender lamb cuts, flavorful gyros, and fresh seafood prepared with a lightness and authenticity that speaks of shared family recipes. Accompanying these dishes, an ouzo or a carefully chosen green tea adds to the sense of ritual, while generous portions remind you that this is a place to linger and enjoy.
Beyond the plate, there is a quietly joyful rhythm to dining at Saloniki. Small gestures—a complimentary dessert, a friendly nod from the kitchen—reflect the warmth of a family-run spot where guests are treated as old acquaintances. It’s a space where the city’s busy hum fades, replaced by something steadier and comforting, a little escape within Bad Griesbach’s heart.
For anyone seeking a thoughtful and relaxed meal that celebrates Greek flavors without fuss, Restaurant Saloniki offers a space imbued with both tradition and a quietly lived-in sense of joy.

Centrally located in Bad Griesbach-Therme, this is one of my standards to go for lunch and dinner. The restaurant provides standard good Greek platters - if really like the ones with liver - a quick and friendly service at reasonable prices. You will not leave hungry - an Uozo upfront and a desert ist provided for free (unless You are really rude to the psilari / waiter.

Best Greek food and food in general around this area!!!!! Amazingly tasteful, super big portions, reasonable prices and excellent service. It seems like it is run by a Greek family and the mum is the super-chef!!!! Love it when quality is delivered by family run businesses rather than big chain corporations. Big thanks for the dinner and will be back soon!!

One more time in Bad Griesbach and of course we visited again the best Greek restaurant "Saloniki".. the service was quick and professional and the food was absolutely delicious!as we remember they offer you dessert for free after food and Greek ouzo! We ordered "riesen garnellen" and "Ikaria plate". Everything was great and we had a great time there!I trully recommend restaurant SALONIKI for a great meal in a warm familiar atmosphere! We will visit that again when we go back!
